Choosing Between the Micro-T and the Micro Desert Truck

Losi makes both the Micro-T and Micro-DT (desert truck). Which do car do I recommend? That depends on what you're going to do with it. The Micro-DT is basically a Micro-T with a slightly longer chassis that's capable of housing a larger battery. In my opinion, the DT is a better outdoor vehicle. First, the longer wheelbase makes it a little more stable at high speeds. Second, the larger battery enables longer runtimes between battery changes, which comes in very handy especially outdoors when you don't want to take a break from the fun.

The Micro-T, however, is lighter and more nimble. It wheelies more easily, and will beat a Micro-DT in straight-line acceleration due to the weight difference. If you are planning to run the vehicle indoors and not make any modifications to it, I recommend a Micro-T. On the other hand, if you want a little more high-speed stability along with longer play times, go for the DT. With all that said, it's possible to convert from one to the other by buying a few conversion parts. The two vehicles share about 80% of their components.
